Now to post something for the actual namesake of this blog.

Vince and I spent the whole day yesterday just walking around the city (a whole day without a car = amazing on so many levels) which is something we both very much needed.  We've spent basically our entire summer (thus far) traveling back and forth between here and Sacramento and we just needed time to explore this amazing city that we are so blessed to be living in.

We started off taking the T train to the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building on Embarcardero where we browsed and had breakfast.  From there we walked through Embarcadero Center, then on to Chinatown where stopped by a seemingly popular bakery called Golden Gate Bakery and bought some really good Sesame Balls.  We walked on to one of my favorite bookstores in the city, City Lights bookstore in North Beach.  We didn't stay there long because of how hot is was in there due to the small vicinity and a significant amount of people browsing for books to read on a warm afternoon.

I wanted to show Vince this authentic italian deli called Molinari Deli just a block away from City Lights and it was well worth the visit.  We grabbed a salami sandwich from there and split it in Washington Square park where we were amongst people tanning and drinking beer and wine.  I also enjoyed watching people leaving a wedding across the street at St. Peter and Paul Church.  I love people watching and people watching a wedding party is always a treat :).    Once I realized I was starting to get sunburnt we decided to hop on the 8x to the AMC Metreon to catch Transformers 3 (come back later for a link to my review of this movie) since we had one of those 2-tickets-for-$5 groupons.

It was a very successful Saturday and we were both really happy that we didn't waste a beautiful day in the city sitting at home playing Halo Reach.  We did miss being with our families though.  We always hear what both of our families are doing together and it sucks being so far away from both of our families when they're all having fun together.  For me, geographically, I would rather be in San Francisco than in Sacramento.  Bottom line, I would rather be with my family no matter where we're at.  Why can't my whole family just move here? That would make things so much easier :).

Enough of me complaining.  I'm extremely blessed either way.  I live in one of the most amazing cities in this world and I have a family that loves me.  What more could I ask for?  Check out some pictures I took with my phone yesterday.
